Hello I’m Seija. The creative and founder of Studio Alma.
I'm a self-taught artist, graphic designer, traveller and lover of colour, water, yoga and slow living. I've spent more than 20 years working in commercial and graphic design, creating for clients including Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Condé Nast Digital, The Body Shop, Nokia and Getty Images, as well as working with creative agencies and independent businesses in London.
But somewhere along the way, I realised that creativity for me was about much more than design.
After years of living and working in London, I followed my intuition and moved to Portugal. Life began to slow down. I found more space to create, to explore and to reconnect with the things that make me feel most like myself — sunshine, the ocean, travel, art, yoga and a little more freedom.
My creativity has always been shaped by the places and cultures that have been part of my life. I'm British-Bengali, and my roots, travels and time spent living abroad have given me a deep love for colour, pattern, texture, storytelling and the beauty of different ways of living.
I've always been drawn to people who are creating a life of their own — small business owners, artists, healers, yoga teachers, boutiques, coaches, makers, nomads and dreamers. People with an idea, a feeling or a little spark that they want to turn into something real.
That's where Studio Alma was born.
I love helping people bring their ideas to life through thoughtful, beautiful design — creating brands and creative spaces that feel authentic to who they are and what they want to share with the world.
For me, good design isn't just about making something look beautiful. It's about creating a feeling, telling a story and making a genuine connection.
Studio Alma is my creative home — a place where design, art, travel and slow living come together.
And if you're creating something you love, I'd love to hear your story.
Whats things are making me happy lately!
